The Médoc all year round
By the pool in summer, by the stove in winter: the villa is a place for every season.
Spring & summer
Heated pool from 15 April to 15 October, Atlantic beaches about 25 minutes away, local markets, fêtes and summer festivals across the Médoc.
Autumn
Grape-harvest season and wine-estate visits. The Marathon du Médoc in early September, the pool heated until 15 October, then cosy evenings by the pellet stove.
Winter
Cosy stays by the pellet stove, quiet walks through the vineyards and the Rallye du Médoc in December. A peaceful getaway for family or friends.

Within 50 m of the house: a grocery (bread, tobacco), a pharmacy, a hairdresser and a beauty salon. Supermarkets (Lidl, Leclerc, Carrefour, Netto) are in Lesparre-Médoc, about a 10-minute drive away.
Are parties allowed?
Yes, parties are allowed provided the neighbours are respected. Please observe quiet hours from 10 pm to 7 am and keep outdoor noise reasonable. The property is non-smoking.
How many cars can we park? Is there EV charging?
Private parking takes up to 4 cars, plus secondary parking. A large free public car park is about 50 m away, by the town hall. Electric vehicle charging is available on site.
Is there air conditioning?
Every bedroom has reversible air conditioning (cooling and heating). The main living room is not air-conditioned: the old stone wine store (“chai”) keeps the ground floor naturally cool. A pellet stove heats the living area.
Is the internet good enough for remote work?
Yes, the house has fibre internet at around 250 Mb/s — ideal for remote work, video calls and streaming.
Is the pool safe for children?
The pool has a key-operated automatic safety cover meeting French safety standards. Diving is not allowed (depth about 1.40 m) and children must remain under their parents’ supervision.
Can we get there without a car?
Yes: Lesparre-Médoc train station is about 10 minutes away, then bus or taxi to Bégadan. Bordeaux-Mérignac airport is about 1 h 10 away. A car remains the most convenient way to explore the Médoc.
How far are the beaches and Bordeaux?
The Atlantic beaches are about 20–30 minutes away, and Bordeaux about a 1-hour drive.
